Almonte Baptist Church
Children and Youth Leader
Contract Job Description
Overview of Church and Community
Almonte Baptist Church (ABC) has recently celebrated 157 years of service to Christ in the town of Almonte within the rural municipality of Mississippi Mills (total pop. 12,000), Ontario. We are a small English speaking church that believes in the Baptist theology and practice Baptist priorities. The church falls within the Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec (CBOQ). We have a congregation of approximately 60 members and adherents, who live both in Almonte and the local area. For a small church we have made some remarkable contributions to the work of Christ in the community, reaching out to the rest of the world through our mission work. Worship of God in Prayer, the Word, and Music has been the center of the church. We are committed to rebuilding our community with renewed strength and a clear vision for vibrant, Christ-centered fellowship. A top priority in this renewal is growing our outreach to local and regional children and youth, and we are actively seeking support—both in leadership and participation—for this vital ministry.
